Yeah yeah, I know, weird topic.
However, as a father of 4, and 3 of those children watching Steve Burns on Blue's Clues, one of which was affected by the departure of Steve Burns from the Blue's Clues show...I had an interest in this one.
Today, we turned on Nickelodeon, for the kids to watch their normal morning cartoons, etc. Blue's Clues came on, and since I noticed Steve wasin the show, I asked my wife "Oh, so Steve Burns is back?"
I was kind of shocked at her reply. "No. This is an old one. Someone told me Steve Burns was in jail, and they saw it on vh1 news."
Immediately this sparked my inquisitive nature, and I had to find out what he went to jail for.
I quickly found out that he never was in jail, this was merely a popular rumor, which was included among other popular rumors (overdosed and died on heroin, etc).
What he is doing however, is a guitar player and lead singer in a rock alternative band (The Dustmites...formerly Flaming Lips), which released an album called "Songs for The Dustmites" (available on Amazon btw).
He was never arrested, and obviously never died...at least yet, nor did he really go off to college as the show suggested, and people began to believe as truth.
Like I said, I know this is probably the strangest topic to ever grace HD, but as a father, and know that some of you are as well, it was an interest to me, and might be to those of you who have children that watched the show, when Steve Burns was the host.
