cPanel Security Hole in ProFTPD

Security At this time, it is recommended that all customers using proftpd Switch to pure-ftpd as soon as possible to eliminate a potential security hole. Please note that all released versions of proftpd are belived to be affected and the exact problem is not yet known. Customers who experience the problems switching are welcomed to bypass the normal support procedure and submit a ticket directly at http://support.cpanel.net

It is a click of three buttons and you are now on Pure if you need to switch from Proftpd

but hopefully people will see and do if you encounter any issues open a ticket with cpanel directly

I wouldn't have known about it had I not seen this. Currently running ProFTPd on nearly half of my machines.

Didn't you guys have the warning up the top of WHM? We have always used Proftpd anyway, luckily

Check SafecPanel.com. He normally has easy fixes posted to holes, etc.
