man do I need help!

after 4 days, coutnless emails I've had to go outside the vendors suport system to get some guidance.

I have a virtual dedicated with goDaddy. I think its a VPS looking at the definition sticky and when i connect with Windows Remote Desktop i get a VPS inthe top right corners. Also since I have allocations on my server I pretty sure is a VPS. (Win03 Server 10gb drive/ 384Mb memory

* when I try and install McAfee VirusScan 8.0i on the server the mcshield.exe service cannot start (Could not contact Filter Driver. Error = 0x3 : The system cannot find the path specified.)

* when I install Perfectdisk 7 i get (cannot communicate with PDengine)

Basically i think there are some strange permissions or rules creating these errors. I've looked through the event logs, started a few various services and checked the permissions of the C drive but I'm realkly stuck.

Sadly goDaddy's advanced suport wants to keep quoting they cannot support licensed software and other canned responses which is pissing me off.

ANY guidance on installs with regards to VPS would be greatly appreciated!

ps- system tab shows only 32mb, why is this?
