Hey,
Is the official site the only place to buy fantastico?
I would like to get it because a few people I host want to use it but its not worth buying a full license for a few, I dont advertise it on my site anymore.

Are you able to buy a fantastico license from someone that already got it and change the license for your own serve, like you can with a vBulletin license?

Thanks,
John

Old thread, but...

I haven't heard any news of Fantastico resellers. As far as I know, only the developer makes it available. Other companies are starting to create "autoinstallers" which can be purchased, though, and while they may not offer exactly the same programs as Fantastico, they essentially perform the same function.

Don't the "additional scripts" through the main CPanel do the same thing? (Offer additional scripts, that is.)

Yeah they do lesli, but there are very few scripts available through that and they aren't as good as the ones in fantastico and the other installers available.
I actually saw a site which gave all the code needed to create your own auto installer script in PHP, so there isn't any need to buy fantastico if anyone wanted to do that, plus they could select the scripts they want users to install

Well, I know the owner/coder of Fantastico/Cpanelthemes, as far as I know licenses are non-transferable. There are NO resellers of Fantastico only NOC's aka Datacenters can get a contract with them, you get a discount yes, but you have to own the IP's where you will use it
