Hey,
Just thought I would share my recent experiences with cPanel support.

This is the first time I got very good help from cPanel techs, the tech was called Jason Kiniry.

There was a problem with the stats in cPanel and I had one ticket opened already, but everything the other tech was telling me was wrong so I opened another.

Jason found the cause quickly and even fixed it himself, then he went to a lot of hassle and worked on a few things for the next few days to make sure the problem was totally fixed.

He kept me informed about everything he was doing along the way and was very polite, it is the best customer relations I have had from a company in a long time.

I was very surprised as normally cPanel techs just give a quick answer (That doesn't work) then close your ticket.

Wanted to share this because not many people write about having good experiences with cPanel support.

Hopefully Jason will be handling my tickets again in the future

John

Good to hear about good experiences with cpanel instead of the usual posts when people are unhappy.

I think this level of support should be provided though when people are paying roughly $20/month for the srcipt.
cPanel would be taking in a lot of money and I think they should have a lot of experienced techs that are providing the good support that Jason provided.

I think support and bugs in updates are the two main things cPanel have to work on.

Although I don't know about ensim support, I know their updates don't have anywhere near as many bugs as cPanel.

If cPanel put more money into both these things then I think they could make the software a lot more popular plus they wouldn't have half the amount of people bad mouthing them.
We have all see the people that hate cPanel just as much as some people hate Microsoft

Yeah usually you only hear of the bad times and experiences.. nice to know there are still the techs that actually try and help and check everything, too bad people werent all like this instead of just trying ot make it look like they resovled the issue quickly.

Great to hear John.

Hmm, don't use cPanel and probally won't ever. At least you got a good tech! Since my provider is a Ensim Pro Partner, he can support all of the software quirks that I have. It's very great.

Max,
Does your provider give you ensim support?
What is the actual support like from ensim itself? You must have had to contact them about bugs or other problems in the control panel in the past, too much for your provider to know hehe.

I believe CPanel will be better after they finish the windows version. Then they can just work on small improvments and security.

FatalSw1tch I think doing the Windows version will do the opposite, it will give them more problems and they will need to bring on a lot more people, I think the windows version could have as many problsm on its own as all other versions combined.

Look at the versions they had have out for years now, and look at how many bugs there is....do you really think the Windows version is going to be the first out that only has a few bugs? Plus do you think they will stop adding features to the windows version when they still have a lot of bugs to fix? I don't think so..
