About a week ago, I was browsing some videos and came across two users (UnPlayedaThing and chuggaconroy) who is playing through games and recording them (Example UnPlayedaThing did Ys Book I and II, and chuggaconroy did Super Mario RPG: The Legend of theSeven Stars) - which has inspired me to go back and play games like I used to.

Now the thing is, I don't have a camcorder and I just spoke to my mom about getting backmy DVD player / burnerso my question is, what would be a good starting camcorder to do something like this?

I wouldn't use a camcorder unless I wanted myself actually in the video. I'd use a video capture card of some sort and play the game directly on the PC and record that or split the output from the system to the TV and the capture card.
