Hello all.

First off, Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.

So, what are your PC specs? I currently am using a rubbish old Pentium III 333mhz with 128mb sdram and so on. Really old, and rubbish. My new computer/workstation will be:

Quote:
Processor: INTEL Pentium 4C 3.0 GHz
Mother Board: MD8080
Memory: 512 Mb DDR
Hard-Drive: 160 GB, Serial ATA100, 7200 tr
Graphics Card: ATI Radeon 9800 XL, 256 Mb DDR, TV Out
Sound Card: Integrated C-Media 9761
Contrôleur réseau: Intégré VIA® VT6105L (10/100)
WLAN PRISM 802.11g (WiFi)
DVD Reader: Sony DDU1612-MD
DVD ReWriter: Pioneer DVR-106DB (multi-standard)
Lecteur Disquette: 3.5" 1,44MB
Modem: Creatix V.9x HaM / Tuner TV-FM

Ports en Front:
USB x3
IEEE 1394 x2
Entrée vidéo (composite et s-video)
Lecteurs de cartes (SD/MMC, Compact Flash, Smart Media, Memory Stick)
Entrées/Sorties audio

Ports in back:
VGA x2
Sortie TV (compo. et s-video)
RJ 11 (modem)
Antenne TV et FM
USB x4
IEEE 1394 x1
RJ 45 (LAN)
Port série x1
Port parallèle x1

The above I translated from French to English, may have missed some things out - some I didn't bother translating, well because they are so similar to English.

It's a Medion PC. Costing me €1,245 which is about $1,245 - very nice price for France. Very good specs. It comes with Windows XP Family which I'll be changing right away to Linux Mandrake 9.2, which is nice.

So, what are the specs of your current PC, and do you plan to get a new one? If so do you know the specs and are you willing to share?
