I have been looking around for a script that will monitor/trend the CPU useage on a dedicated linux server. I use phpsysinfo for real time snap shots but I was hoping there is something that trends it over a day, week or month and maybe wtites it to a mysql database or something.

Here's hoping you get some good answers, as I would like to know of one also. Be interesting if there are a few available that people have been using and found will work as advertized. Probably lots of these types scripts available, but who has time to test them.

Why not use MRTG, RRDTOOL or a combination of both. There are tons of add ons for each of these and you can monitor all sorts of things like: Traffic, CPU usage, Disk space, CPU temp and much more..
