Yeah, that is what I faced just now. Maybe there is a hack that would allow to manage avatar permissions and go around the problem of current/new members with more ease.

I think for now 200 posts for avatars is a good deal and maybe more in the future as these forums are continually getting busier and busier by the looks of it .

I'd say more than 50, but not necessarily 200. That's quite a bit. I like the longevity+posts idea though.

Me too. I sure hope there is an easy way of introducing it. We'll be working on it.

You can't if you allow gif's. However, if you only allow jpeg, or png...these image types can't be animated.

Guys, I apologize for the late response, I just noticed this thread.

I agree we should only allow static images. I don't think this is possible, but we could add a section in our "community guidelines" in regards to this and any other avatar use limitations.

We will be able to accomplish this by "updating counters".

Artashes, as I mentioned on my post above, we can easily accomplish this in only a few steps.
