In theory it is a good idea. However, please answer the following:

1. ValidSeal.com is barely 2 weeks old. Why should anyone trust your service, as well as pay a fee for a service that has no traction?

2. Your testimonial page has quite a few comments from customers:

Who and where are your customers? You have at least 7 of them on a testimonial page, so could you share their URLs and contact detail for reference?

3. Your own ValidSeal lists your profile:

Do you think that having a personal email and address is professional and trustworthy enough for such an institution to operate?

I'm not sure I see the purpose of this offer.
What exactly are you offering?
How do you verify if a site is legitimate? Do you use their services?
Do you investigate them somehow?
What is this seal supposed to mean to someone who visits my site? What guarantee are you offering them?

You say you got tired of paying $400 for validation fees so you decided to start your own validation service cheap.
What would stop me from getting a logo created and starting my own validation service and charging a dollar a year?
Why would my service be any less legitimate than yours?

I think you make good points. We are starting out and are just getting together a client list. The directory needs updating, and that is my bad ! Perhaps you are right about the traction comment - what would you guys suggest to improve this ?

Company Owner / Director
Website History

By all means do all of this for a $1 a year, you will lose more than that on the automated telephone calls.

Also, please remove the blatent spam target you have made James' email. It is hashed on our site so spam bots can't read it.

I am a little puzzled about the comments about a personal email and address:

James is the Managing Director of Igniso Limited, go check it at the UK's companies house - its been running for a fair few years now. The postal address is business center - and Valid Seal has its own office. How many other so called security web sites have that ?

The email is the managing directors email of the parent company, but I take your point and will get it changed.
