Looking for a security admin for linux box.

I secured my own computer with virus scan and firewall
And, I did it all Personally for me!

Well.

I secure my own box's, but I do also have someone who does long term security on them for me.

But really only a few once off things need to be done and you'll have one very secure box.

Mine gets about ~5 - 7 brute force attacks per week and no one gets in and I highly doubt anyone ever will. .

As for DDoS attacks, I can provide some minor cover for them. I'm not sure how effective it can be because I've never had my boxes DDoS'ed or I never noticed! haha.

I can setup a software firewall for you with a strict configuration.

If you co-locate of course hardware firewalls are great, most attacks won't even reach your box then.

/tmp/ and /var/tmp directories are often used to install and run scripts onto your server which can be a big problem. I can secure them for you.

I also can provide administrative services. My website http://eth0.us a LOT of information about securing servers and tweaking them. I have been working on linux for over 6 years at this point and doing commercial work for 4 years. If you google "eth00" you can see a lot of the other forums that I frequent.

I am most experienced with cPanel or no control panel at all.

I can provide services to help mitagate certain types of DDOS. No server admin can block 100% of the attacks as some will simply fill your server up with all the transfer it can handle which if that is the case you must disable the ip or ask your isp.

I have a full tech resume laying around someplace that I can find and update if you are interested in a formal resume. I can also provide some references if you do not find enough online to make you comfortable.
