...I'm not in the market for a design. Sorry.

But as someone who's seen their web copy rippe- er, re-used at various sites around the net by designers who didn't really stop to think...

Bless you for the greeked text. (Or, actually, ??? ????????? )

(Dang it! That was supposed to be "bless you" in Greek. Guess the forum doesn't handle non-English-aphabet characters.)

Are you saying I am a ripper? I have the psd. I make my own designs.

That text is called filler text from ipsum.com, it is used by designers to fill empty space to show how the layout looks with text.

!!!! No, that's not what I meant. I didn't state that, but I didn't think that I had implied that, either. I probably should have clarified, for the benefit of those quick to assume that everyone's a crook (or that everyone thinks that all designers are crooks...another bad assumption).

Other designers, probably kids (definitely a kid in one case...someone's 12 year old nephew), have copied my text before. So even though for many it's common practice to use greeked text when blocking out pages, I see more and more designers who don't bother. They'll sometimes use text copied from another site. Sometimes, that copied placeholder text then just gets carried forward into the "finished" site design...and then the owners are surprised when I send them a letter showing them their URL, my URL, screenshots of both, and asking them to change or remove those portions of the text which are identical.

I am a design minimalist - which, fortunately, means that very few people will copy my web site's looks. They're far too plain for most people. (My mother kept constantly wanting to wallpaper or faux finish every apartment I moved into. I had to explain to her: I like the plain look: either white or very light beige, solid color walls. It works for me. She still doesn't believe me, and I've been decorating my own place for the last 10 years. It'll probably take another 10 or 20 before she just gives up.)

Ok, thanks for clarifying. The ipsum site is solely for filler text pruposes. So I didn't take this from you or anyone. I went to ipsum.com, chose how many paragraphs I needed and then got my text.

I'm not a crook.

Thanks. I am doing so much at once at the moment with moving all my sites to my new servers, etc, that I didn't really get to put much thought into what you meant. I thought you were saying I stole something and used it on my design.

Yep, that was it :D

Weekends are far too short. Saturday, you rest. Cohesion and comprehension returns to near-normal levels. Sunday, you recreate a bit. You're almost back to 100%.

And then Monday comes along and smacks you with a trout.

Good luck with the sale!
