If we take out google adwords out of this, what are some other tops places free or paid that provide decent traffic from ads? I am poking around some more places this week and I feel like I have run out even with being up to my eyeballs in normal work, this is just extra.

As for free options, you can browse through web hosting forums and generally find directories that will allow you to list your site for free. These won't provide a ton of traffic, but it's a start.

I think you can try out the you tube as a movie clip as well.

I use a few publisher networks (as advertiser). It is good solution to advertise on multiple related websites quickly.

Unfortunately, most of the free advertising and promotion methods take up a lot of the other commodity you say you are short on - time. That being said, if you can afford to outsource some of the work, there are some great promotional things you can do/have done. Social bookmarking, article marketing, forum marketing - these are all free and can bring in lots of traffic but they are rather labor intensive.

The best method of obtaining constant flow of traffic is organic SEO, although it is time consuming but it worth. Also social media optimization will help you to generate good amount of traffic.

I keep hearing that social bookmarking/media is not worth the hassle and I am not sure about that as I have seen others with some wicked results in doing so. I am still a little hesitant but I am willing to give just about anything a shot once. Thanks for the tips!
