Honestly I don't find CNet web hosting forum valuable. In fact it's heavily biased and unorganized. However that's not how Google think about it: http://www.google.com/search?q=web+h...L_enMY239MY242

I know that website that ranks high on Google doesn't mean that they are quality. However ranking CNet's hosting forum on a 26 million SERP is just too much.

What's your opinion on this?

Well, the CNet web hosting forum has some value, but there are certainly others that are easier to navigate and that provide more insight to the industry.

Honestly, if a forum has a good SEO value for a website, it may help to take advantage of opportunity regardless of how the forum appears. You never get to the top overlooking your options.

That's the issue with CNet hosting forums. Everyone's trying to take advantage on them and unfortunately the forum is run by an inexperienced (and heavily biased I would say) moderator.
