Doing dedicated server sales for the most part right now. I've left much of the Shared Hosting promotions alone as there's just no way to compete with pricing (which is the default that people look at first). We have some ecommerce bundled deals where we include a number of things, but probably the big mover for these past two weeks have been Dedicated Servers. (strange, I haven't posted the offer here at HD yet either!). I'll have to get that done here in the next 20 minutes!

How about yourself? Noticing much of a trend? Are people holding off until January so they don't' impact this years tax returns?

We’re continuing with our HD exclusives 50% off (onetime) 25% recurring and various bundle deals up until Christmas though I can’t see much of a trend sales wise... everything seems steady however as usual Id agree with Conor's suspission that people are holding till the January sales however I expect ourselves like everyone else has a few surprises waiting for January

No real Holiday Season promotions. Am doing targeted promotions for first month free on all hosting with ATCI Hosting, six months free shared hosting with NPSIS (with small set up fee) and very targeted direct mail campaign offering colocation services on 10U and full racks (month-to-month) with first two months free. I think we'll become more aggressive with advertising come January.

I think for one of our side companies (has nothing to do with hosting) we will be sending out a mailer a week before the big day as well, or a week before New Year's (still debating which date is better - thoughts?).

Right now I have noticed an odd rate, our live support booms more than our phone does (I guess people do not like phones anymore or something).

I'm seeing just the opposite here with live chat ... with an increase in email queries.

50% is a bit too much. I find 10-20% much better. 40% max.
