Have somebody tried to post hosting services as ebay products?

Iīve read about it before but couldnīt find a documented opinion.

Could you please share?

Thanks!

What kind of specials do you offer that works for you? eBay is filled with $2 per year unlimited hosting offers which take the majority.

you noticed that too, try asking some of these sellers simple hosting questions and you will find a majority have not idea what you are on about. I asked one once if they offered ded IPs and i was surprised when he come back with 'what are they never heard of them'. he also had no idea what DNS was, so also clearly unable to use google, as even if you had no idea (bad for a host) then he could have used google to find out, so not making himself look a fool.

but to your question. i usually run reseller specials at Ģ5 a month ( have one at the moment) along with a Fantastic Social Networking Package + RMS for video chat

but the fact of life now is that because of the economy a lot of people just look on ebay for cheap deals and go on the price and not quality of service and then wen it all goes belly up they look for genuine hosts. I can almost guarantee for the next 7 weeks ebays UK site will have these cheap hosts treble as schools out for the summer holidays.

and too anyNode we get a decent return on our ebay deals

eBay gets you all the wrong kinds of clients. It's mainly kids selling super master alpha resellers for $10/year.

read what you wrote, you have explained a kiddie HOST selling super master alpha resellers for $10/year and not a client looking for a host.

these are 2 different things, but yes use genuine hosts have to compete with the kiddie hosts as i stated earlier in todays economy clients just look at price and not really quality of service

Sorry that was unclear (it was late) . Please allow me to clarify, because, you're right, there are two things I was talking about.

1) The price range on eBay does in fact attract bad clientele
2) There are also $10/year super master alpha unlimited everything resellers that kids will try to sell on eBay. -- you'll have to compete with this kind of level of service and the price, but most people just look at the price.

we have never had any bad apples from ebay complete signup with us as our security measures kick in and after 11 years i know how to spot baduns. but we get very few that are stopped or look wrong.

not hard to compete on kiddies level of service as most of them dont have any or even active websites themselves.

I think ebay ads might bring the wrong type of clients to your business. Also, you may need to beef up your fraud detection tools to ensure you have a decent outcome for your services provided.

We are also trying the eBay listings but have no sign-ups from there. Also the view rate is quite low, probably about 20 per offer last month.
However i'll give it some time.
We try to distinguish ourselves there by putting focus on our support service and the fact that we use real datacenters, not basements or the back room in the office.
Interestingly enough we had a question from someone which was supposed to be edgy i guess, he was like " if you are so reliable why don't you disclose your whereabouts?". So I did and I posted it on the posting page. He did not reply back, i believe he was not expecting such detailed answer

well i would say the same thing too

what are you hiding?

1) in a whois search your details are hidden behind a whois agent
2) you dont display an address on your website

These 2 factors would 100% stop me from hosting with you as i have no idea where you are based.

phone numbers mean nothing as these could be redirected to a mobile anywhere in the world.

Mail can be forwarded too. Services are also available from virtual offices to scan your mail and e-mail it to you.
