Which is the best option? Google is not giving expected results.

Try to find as many forums as possible. There are many out there. Add a signature. Should bring some traffic, and hopefully some clients.

Goodluck!

What is your marketing budget? You need to be changing your marketing as you go trying new things dropping those that don't work and pushing those that do convert more.

If you're startup up shop you may not have a marketing budget (it is wise not to spend to much) so just be active on forums and build a reputation on these forums. Eventually, sales will come.

That is possibly the most surprising answer of all. I've used Facebook for a couple of campaigns and both were a disaster. From the feedback I commonly hear is that spending money on FB ends up being a financial drain. Unless of course your target is very narrow and subject specific.

I wonder what you've done different. Are you doing general targeting? Geographical to your local area? Subject-based? It could be helpful to know at least in general terms how you go about it.

Facebook is not great but has been compared to advertising on Google adwords which for us has always been a waste of money. Our Ads on facebook have always been targeted on specific geographical locations and yes, subject based. General targeting is a waste of time in our experience, though it may have some brand awareness value.

I tried a few ad campaigns through Facebook, but the few customers that ended up signing up we're not customers a business would want. Multiple reports on FraudRecord for spam, charge backs etc.

Now, I understand this is a risk you take in any advertising getting those kind of customers. It was just disappointing that the few potential customers that I managed to bring in with the costly campaign turned out to be bad apples.

I've had good luck on the WHT forums so far. In the future I'm looking at joining the local chamber of commerce and buying some ad space in newsletters and their website with a promo code to give discount to chamber of commerce members.

This is very cool thread to know more about advertising for web hosting services. There are many questions about what to use but its important 'How to use'. You can find various forums websites, many social media websites, PPC websites, Social networking websites, Guest Posts, Review websites and more. Use those accordingly. Google loves true Information sharing and no spam. Try to increase brand value and share useful information.

We canceled our Google AdWords, starting costing to much for one sale and wasn't worth it. Plus our SEO has us on the first page or two for a lot of our keywords we were marketing. Besides the SEO we mostly do some local advertising and social networks.
