Wordpress is better than joomla but its required to update it to latest versions time to time also required to use the trusted themes and plugins.

Wordpress is great but you need to keep it to up to date, with the latest version, if not someone can hack it and gain access to your cPanel.

Wordpress and Joomla are easy to compare these days. Joomla was a good solution in its prime but Wordpress has taken over to become the best CMS available.

There is no doubt is about wordpress serach Engine optimization is work better instate of joomla. wordpress always give me better result then joomla. Jooma have lot's of eye caching design but Joomla's serach engine optimization is not that much good.

Joomla gives you much more addons, you can even set up an online shop on it. It is also good for SEO (it's developed in this direction) but if you are willing only to start a website with regular content like articles I think you should choose WordPress. It's much easier to use and equally useful.
Cheers,
Adam

I'd be curious to know the actual difference in add-ons offered between the two CMS's. Certainly both can be SEO optimized. I would disagree with your analysis

only because millions of very diverse websites have been launched with WordPress.

Hi Steve,

I wrote all of this beacuse I have experience with both of Joomla and WordPress. And WordPress is much, much easier when you want to write a blog, and there is much more SEO friendly addons. When I was using Joomla it was great (but not so easy to use) for ecommerce purpose, but when it comes to blogging - it was a nightmare! In example - there was a problem with proper meta descriptions.
But - it's just only my opinion, Steve
Cheers,
Adam

I have experience in both too (lucky us) and the one thing I found easier with Joomla was adding schema microdata. The rest goes to WordPress.

I guess functionalities also matter a lot. Maybe Joomla has some stuff wordpres doesn't. In any case, I'll stick with wordpress.

I prefer using Wordpress because of the wide amount of templates it can offer. You can customise a Wordpress site into an e-commerce platform or a website just for displaying your corporate profile. The backend user interface for Wordpress is also much user-friendly, as compared to Joomla.

When it come to SEO, wordpress is a better choice than joomla due to excellent array of plugins available in wordpress.

In my opinion both are good for "Google's organic search result",they have a lot of tools that can help you and easy to use.
For me Wordpress is good for small website.and Joomla is more good for bigger website.
