Im thinking of developing a Fantasy Sports Based Stock Market game where participants would beyou buy shares of players something like Im
thinking of would havea a Fantasy Game built in,You would buy shares in players, to build a Portfolio, Players in your portofolio do well, you earn Fantasy
Points. Everyone would have a fixed amount of money to start off with.
You earn/lose money by how well your players buy/sell in the market.

Two people have offered to help me, One will code this for me and the other willdesign the website.

In Exchange for this,

-My Friend will offer the a Free Professional Website design: Here is an example of his work: www.aat-edu.org
and his design site: www.sandro-dz.com
-Percentage of all profits made on the site(there will be paid subscription memberships and affilate programs.

I would prefer hosting on a Dedicated Server as this will eventually grow into a big business, I can not tell you exactly how much space/bandwidth I will eventually need but it will start out small.

After the site is officially up, I would expect the traffic to start booming withing 2 weeks.

I would like around 1-2 GB of space and 5-10 GB of bandwidth to start with the ability to get more.

If you are REMOTELY interested, dont hestiate to PM me, thanks.

Fantasy Sports Players in General. General Stock Market Practice Game Players.

As far as Market, a Demographic survey might be added but Im expect 97 Percent Males as well as 75 Percent American Users.

Thanks, Let me know.

If this is going to be a business, and you expect to make a profit, don't you think that it would be fair to pay for your hosting? Every business has startup costs, and paying an online provider is certainly one of them.

Any host offering via PM, is violating board rules.

While I wish you all the best, I doubt you will find a host to offer up a dedicated server for this. Mainly due to the fact that this idea is just that at the moment, and idea. The host would lose massive amounts of money while you materialize your idea, depending on how long that takes.

Unfortunately, the harsh reality is, that statistics show that this is not likely. That is, in the short period of 2 weeks. Of course, that depends on what your idea of "booming" is. Then when you consider, that you have a $0 budget, it means that traditional advertising is out the window, and you will need to rely on word of mouth, which can move at a snail's pace most of the time.

I certainly applaud your ambition, but think that you should evaluate everything before doing this, at least in the regards of what you ask from others in the form of donations, etc.

Most of the time, a company will not even look back at you, unless you can provide detailed figures of what you're expecting, what they get if you fail to meet that expectation, exact figures of initial resources you'll need from them, etc.

You'll be hard pressed to get a company to give you something based on ideas, if's, maybe's, somewhere near's, etc., especially something such as a sponsored dedicated server.
