From the given data I would say you would not need a VPS or a dedicated server for this (unless you really feels like having a one ) . A good shared account or a semi-dedicated plan would be your best option

$10 VPS with a control panel sounds a bit scary...maybe around 15-20$...reasonable...again be sure to choose a provider for both VPS or dedicated based on reputation, reviews and feedback

Choose wisely.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm actually thinking of using shared hosting for now. Though, I know at some point a dedicated server will be needed.

A high end VPS is usually more reliable than a dedicated box. It will run on enterprise hardware rather than cheap consumer grade stuff.

The prices of VPS's have also come down a lot over the last 2 years, more competition, cheaper licenses and more choice.

Keep in mind you get what you pay for. Saying that, $20/month is about where quality starter VPS plans begin at.

My first VPS account cost me $39.95/Month if I remember correctly. Now I am paying $85/month along with $15 for some monitoring which the hosting company will restart my VPS if it goes down (monitored every 15 minutes).

The next jump for me should be later this year in which I will be looking at aronud $150/Month for a VPS account.

What I like about them is that they are managed. Any problems are fixed. That alone is worth the cost of the VPS.

With that type of traffic and resource usage you should be just fine on a shared hosting environment, but be sure of the hosts server specs. You don't want them putting you on some cheap little celeron box!

you can get the same for dedicated servers. And depending on the company a lot of VPS are not managed. Also, the hardware is dependent on who and which company you order from as each company will have their own hardware and like everything -- some are good and some bad

$150 is a lot for a VPS! With that budget you can get a decent dedicated server and not have the limits of a VPS!

I think that you'd better kip in mind offering as shared as VPS or dedicated like lunarpages.com, a2hosting.com, hosgator and other companies.
