Do you think its worth selling dedicated servers? Its rough enough with shared hosting, then to add another server when soneone wants one? We do have extra servers just sitting around (just in case somthing happens).

I think that it is well worth it, I think thats where the big money is. You dont have to offer managed services just let them do it all if they need help charge em. Sell it to the wrong person it can bring down the network though so make sure you create a seperate network for the ones you sell

You could join an affiliate program, or a whitelabel reseller program, if you don't want the worry of managing dedis

You can, but personally i have never found it very profitable. Places like LT allow you to do it via their reseller program, however you have to have at least 2 servers with them in order to do participate. Not sure why there are restrictions.

It's a good idea to sell servers. It makes you look more professional as well. If your paying for the extra servers you may as well use them. I know some billing softwares set them up automatically without you having to do anything but add the IP. You may want to look into that.

Dedicated servers are what hosting is all about. So many webhosts on resellers. When we setup our dedicated provider we aimed our advertiseing to web hosts and we have been selling servers like hot cakes. There is alot of money in it, However it dose take a large investment at the start.

Its worth it if u have big customers who want deicated server for there site. But if u are just starting up then dont consider selling dedicated server because client only buy dedcated server from reputed hosts .

Probably to show that you're sincere about doing business with them and not wasting their time.

How much does that minimum sevice cost?

Big businesses do want to have anything to do with shared service, because they know it's unreliable, so they go for dedicated servers, but you need a good number of them to make money. In your case you might be better off if you stick with the shared service, because you never know how many clients you would signup once you start advertising

In my opinion, you arent 'complete' as a web host until you sell dedicated servers.
