Very nice of them to tell you that
I like the new look on their site, liked the old one too.
They are giving 2000g bandwidth with all servers now.
I think they might be going for an even higher market than before.
All good, powerful servers.
HR's server is in ThePlanet

I would like if TP also had forums like ServerMatrix, not sureif the forums are meant to be shared though

Hey John, yeh at this time the are a shared forum, not to many posts about the TC servers though. I am looking at the E-300 or the P2800s haven't totally decided yet. I have been reading up on the DRAC card and seeing what that is all about, can't find any images of the interface though.

There starting Dual Xeon 2.8ghz with 1gb memory, 2TB transfer for just $249 is rather tempting... could do a lot of damage with that.

I like their new layout too, although it did take 10 seconds for the main page to load.

I'm (trying to) view their site now, and the front page is taking quite a long while to load. Going on 20 seconds, and the page still isn't displaying anything beyond grey bar, white bar, grey bar. They must be having a sudden spike of activity.

Loads real fast for me...maybe because I am on a cable modem.

I have a server with ServerMatrix and a friend of mine has a TC server. Things did not go so great with the TC server in the beginning but now everything looks to be ok.

I would recommend TP to most people although their phone support is not too helpful

There must have been some other factors in play to cause the slow loading - because today (about a week+ after I first looked, and the local cache has been cleared), the site came up very quickly.

I am slightly irked at their "comparison" page. They're like those stores that offer lower prices - yeah, lower than the highest-priced competitor in the market at that time! (I'm going to assume that all their hard drives are IDE rather than SCSI.)

Freckled, I'd love to hear a review after you've been with them for a time.

Well I have been with them for over 6 months and I hate to jinx myself on a new deal I am working on but I am probably moving, once I get the details ironed out I will post again the whys and the whynots, so don't jump on that ship yet Lesli. Jst give me a day or two. This is actually why I have been so quiet and I am so excited but like I said don't want to jinx myself until the deal is done.

Sounds good, Freckled. Thanks for the information. I know what that's like: you're ready to move on, but you don't quite have a new "home" lined up, you're mentally living out of boxes. It's like almost-sneezing.

I'm still in the "information-gathering" stage, and any moves or changes in my own situation won't happen until August 2004, so I've got plenty of lead time for additional research.
