I completely agree with this. CentOS with cPanel tends to be a norm when you look at alot of hosting companies. It all depends on what type of sites you will be hosting and what software you want to use.

CentOS, Debian or Ubuntu. If you have had any previous experience with any of them then go with that. Personally i like Debian the most.

If you're going to be using it for hosting use Linux with the WHM/cPanel control panel.

At the first this man should define his needs as was mentioned. because If he wants to develop his web-site by ASP.. then only Windows with IIS and Plesk as control panel.
Please define your needs and ask correct questions.

With words like "I want to have web-sites which OS should I choose" you will not find any correct and useful answers
