I'd just like to get a tally of what many of you prefer. Perhaps some comments, and discussion of pros/cons of either.

We worked with Virtuozzo as well as HyperVM
HyperVM allows you to create Virtual machines on different technologies OpenVZ or Xen. But if it comes to stability i would choose Virtuozzo even though it based only on OpenVZ Technolody.

I'm not including Hyper's ability to be used with Xen for example. Virtuozzo is pretty, but I honestly hate VZMC. Apparently VZCC on v4 works well but we'll have to see..

We use HyperVM for Linux VPS's since clients demand low prices. With HyperVM you can shed off a few more dollars per VPS's and pass the saving on to your clients and they still get premium quality VPS's.

We find hypervm / openvz to be a good combination. Virtuozzo is nice also, but you need to have a good account manager to get pricing anywhere near hypervm pricing.

However the fact the lxlabs ticket system got "hacked" as he used the same password for his WHT account was a big shock!

Yeah, that's not good at all. Looks like "the hacker" is making his way around.

indeed - we have had several clients hacked although within a *very* short time of the WHT debacle and we have noticed 200% + spam.

Coincidence perhaps but makes you wonder ...

A simple vote accomplishes that. You obviously operate on a much larger scale than I. Any specific comments, pros/cons other than the obvious?

Virtuozzo. It is much more sophisticated and advanced technology... even it is based on OpenVZ.

I've been using OpenVZ for ages now but recently have been looking into Virtuozzo for Windows.

You really cannot beat OpenVZ in terms of price (free) and features. Not to mention the excellent community that backs it.

When asked we recommend HyperVM, primarily based on price, and because we've had very few issues with it.

HyperVM is really cheap, but also very stable.
