That looks about right, though if you're expecting growth you mite look at dedicated as well.

Yes a dedicated server would work really good for what your asking for.

Would suit VPS - why are you looking to upgrade from your shared hosting?

Maybe he is paying too much... Or he is looking to do something....

But that is a good questions may we ask why you are leaving shared hosting?

Do you have the knowledge/skills for a VPS? Meaning like installing scripts etc.. With a shared account it is a lot easier to maintain. Do you really need 20 gb space / 500 gb bandwidth or is that for future needs? Please give us more information.

I keep seeing this. Someone joins the forum to ask a question, we're all eager to help, but when further clarification of their needs is needed they're never to be seen again..

It just happens. The person is probably actively trying to help him/herself. I recall joining a forum, starting a thread about a medical issue (of my guinea pig), and forgetting about it while focusing on other information sources.

Months later, when the issue was long handled, I recalled about that and decided to go back and share the solution/conclusion. People there were already providing pages of help (and lots of off topic discussion too, but that's beside the point).

New members may join from a momentary impulse and will soon forget the forum's URL.

Guess you're right, I've done the same when I actually intended to be quite active and simply forgot.

You can't self promote your company or a company you work for. Only in the adveristing sections.

Considering your requirement i would suggest you to opt for VPs and lateron can move to Dedicated Server if required.

I think it is better if you shift to VPS at the most and later migrate preferably to a managed dedicated server depending on the traffic level and resources you might need in future.
