You could use VPS or dedicated in that price range. Do you have an existing shared account now, or are you simply looking around?

With these requirements, VPS should be your least expected setup. But your budget allows you to consider a dedicated server as well.

With your range of money I would go with a dedicated server because you get more control then a VPS and you get to use all your resources and have no one else on that server. Best of luck and god bless everyone. Happy Easter!!!!!

For that budget you can go for a mid level dedicated server environment (probably not high end), but then the question back to you is: do you really need it? If your site is going to do just fine on a VPS, get it and pay less. Spend the difference in price on advertising your business or other investments. Don't pay for resources you don't need. Anyway, that's only my way of thinking.

It looks like your disk space requirement might constrain you with a VPS in your budget range. If you absolutely need 160 GB, then I'd go with a dedicated server.

You could get a decent low level dedicated server with that budget.

With that hard disk requirement, dedicated would be the direction I would take. Make sure you get a fully managed one, if you're not a sys admin.

Getting a fully managed deidicated server would be a great learning process because you can ask the techs questions on how to do this or that. Best of luck!!!!

I agree with the suggestion of fully managed dedicated server but I think you may need to exceed your budget little bit to find a reliable providers.

I wouldn't say that you need a dedicated server, but given that you're looking for 160GB disk space I would recommend going dedicated.

As has been mentioned, you can try a managed server if you don't consider yourself to be a server administrator. However, that may be out of your budget if you need something that's truly managed and not just monitored.

According to your requirements, I would suggest you to choose a Dedicated server as the Hardware of the Server will be Dedicated to you and you can perform most of the tasks according to you on a Dedicated server. A Dedicated server also includes Customization facility (Confirm with the Web hosting provider) so you can Customize your Dedicated server if your requirements increase in future. Also, I would suggest you to choose a Fully managed Dedicated server with 24x7 Technical support which would be a good option.
