Anyone tried the cobalt server? Does not seem too effective even though the interface is user friendly to setup sites but does not hold too many sites, any feedback?

for a simple to use, cheap and all-inclusive machine they're fine, we have a number of them still active after 3years plus

customers seem to like them , will comfortably handle 200 sites, runs asp, php, mysql, mailscanner, fprot, sendmail .....

They are very good. Usually a little overpriced initially, but if you can get them used then their price can be reasonable. Newer models even have RAID (although I think it is software it works well we have heard). They are especially great boxes to offer as unmanaged dedicated servers or to do shared hosting on.
