What Operating System do you use on your dedicated server(s)? Why do you prefer that OS?

It is just a general question to see what people are using. I'm not looking for a server or in need of any assistance. I should have made it a poll, but it's too late now.

It's not a double thread... One thread is about what OS you use on your personal computer, and one is about what OS you use on servers. Looking at the forum topics, it seems it would not be appropriate for them to both be in the Dedicated/Colo forum.

Well we use Linux Enterprise (CentOS) on our servers. We have not had any problems, but if we do, I will be sure to inform everyone here of the situation and how it was handled. :-)

On my personal server, I use CentOS due to my familiarity with it. No problems at all.

I'e been using RedHat Linux 11.0 for the past 4 months. I'm getting really into it. I like the command line interface but it's difficult to learn at first.

I also think Mandrake is quite good.

I really enjoy CentOS. Though I don't mind Fedora. But I am a Linux Man!
