Tim,
Thank you for showing us the screenshot. It is true that he said that, but he might of thought you were getting frustrated with him and just didn't care anymore.

Thank you for the sceenshots.
We're not defending the company or anyone from Site5, rather helping you seem more credible in your complaint.

satnone, as already stated, we are not just jumping to the defense of a particular company. In hosting forums, it is common to see host-bashing threads, so naturally we will want (and expect) to see the OP substantiate his claims. It just makes sense.
Yes, you had to wait a number of hours to receive a reply from support. And yes, you received a flippant and inappropriate PM from a service rep. So I can see why you would be upset. However, I fail to see the logic behind posting this thread.
Let me preface by saying I have no allegiance, friendship or affiliation with site5. So my thoughts are untainted and are my own.
If I had signed up with a host and experienced a delay with support, I would try to solve it on my own first. I would submit a support ticket, and I would try to call them. I would also keep in mind that this is the biggest US Holiday weekend of the year, and perhaps that might reflect in support time responses. Although, to be fair, they do claim 24/7/365 support.
I don't know about you, but it just seems over-reactive to create a bashing thread after a 9 hour wait for a support query. Are you that intolerant that you feel the need to publicly slam a provider after every single hiccup?
Anyways, good luck with your site, whoever you end up with...
Vito

i did solve the problem.. i did open a ticket.. i even had to open another one as i was told by one of their forum guys... but i think if u read my posts u would have known that and yeah i dont have a lotta patience with companys that offer services cause u always get a little bit to a whole lot less than what u pay for.. another thing is when i sign up for any kinda sevice and the very first time i need some support and i go through something like this.. yes i will get pissed off cause considerring the time ive been with them that makes about 100 percent of their service crap so far for me.. if u dont understand what im saying think a little bit more.. anyways im pretty much done with this thread already my problem was solved a day ago and hopefully i wont have anymore
not sure what the point of this last response was u probably should read this thread a little closer.. as for the first 2 guys.. no prob.. u seem to have some common sence..
by the way nice try on the whois haha my names actually andrew..

I can read, thanks. Perhaps you should shelf your hostility for a minute and try to understand what others are saying as well. My point is that maybe you should try to solve a problem on your own first, rather than prematurely jumping to start a bash thread. Seems to be an unfortunate trend in hosting forums.

It is an unfortunate trend Vito.
It seems people will do anything they can to discredit a host rather than take the simple time to resolve minor issues.
I guess this is what happens when kids do business with kids.

No one is being defensive for Site5. We're being defensive for hosts in general. It is a trend in this industry, to fall off the bike, and not only never ride it again, but throw the bike down the hill, chase it, kick it, bust the spokes, the tires, rip the chain off, and then tell people the reason you did it was because the bike threw you off....not "I fell off"
Yeah that was an anology.
The thing is, as a community, we cannot ethically allow people to come in, bash a company, without proof. Ultimately the OP did provide proof. That now tells everyone that reads this thread "Yes, there is proof that Site5 reacted this way." Now he has credibility on his claim.
I might also point out that satnone has openly expressed that he's not even honest in his whois information. This alone is in violation to ICANN rules. Basically their rules are, you either display real info, or no info (use your registrar's privacy feature). Fake info, canget your domain stripped from you.
He goes on to be offensive to anyone in their 20's. I'm 29, and took offense to that. IfI'm able to enlist in the military, fight and die for my country at 18....I feel that makes me an adult.
Then he became defensive for pretty much no reason. He was asked to provide proof. This apparently was too much off a chore, and it "pissed him off", which seems to be a trend as well, evident simply from the first post.
Clients cannot simply go on thinking that this industry is perfect. Things happen. There is absolutely no host that is immune to problems, because they rely on machines, that rely on humans.
Yes, they list 24/7/365, but holidays are probably the single most busiest times of the year. Thanksgiving and Christmas are the worst. Clients want to be treated as the only client the company has to deal with, but this simply means that they are not realists, which leads to the customer being disatisfied for no reason, without giving the provider even the slightest chance.
In short, yes, Artashes nailed it. His frustration is frustrating......to anyone that works in this industry, who knows that problems can creep up, and knows that getting back to a client on one of the busiest holidays of the year within mins is not always possible.

Mark summed it up, the thing that got me was that he was calling anyone in their 20's a kid, while at the same time being unable to press and hold the "Shift" key for fractions of a second, and was also unable to use proper punctuation.
Dubs, on the other hand, who I don't believe is 20 yet, possibly 18? Has better grammar/social skills - and therefore I could easily "mistake" Dubs for being an adult, and Satnone being a kid.

You may wish to reconsider pointing fingers about getting a life, especially considering that we all have these jobs, because of "a lotta" people like you.
We have to police the board to keep people from ripping innocent hosts, and individuals apart.
While you may not have the time or patience to be credible, I'm sure if the shoe was on the other foot, and someone was here bad mouthing you, you'd want proof.
Geez I'll tell ya, some people's kids. This is what happens when computers become cheaper. Any child can access the internet, and pretend to be an adult.

You have some nerve to have such poor spelling and grammar, and then call someone else an idiot. It's not about typing...it's about education, which you obvious lack.

Not only have you shown how immature you are, you have also just shown how ignorant (have no idea what you're saying) you are. You manners here, make me truly question if Site5 was in the wrong, or if you simply caused your own problems.

Never be back? Two hours later you're still on the forum.
And actually I find it funny that you think by calling people a "nerd" that it's both:
A) A putdown
B) Makes you better
If you're so much smarter than us, then by all means, show it in your posts.
