As you all know VoIP services are hot right now. But a market that has not been tapped into heavily is Virtual PBX. A number of consumers are looking for a way to cut expenses on traditional PBX systems which require configuring and maintenance. Instead of dealing with old PBX systems which are capped and not efficient when it comes to expandability many companies will be looking into the virtual pbx route! Asterisk an opensource application that provides just this can be hosted within a datacenter and if properly configured can be a great service to offer customers.

What do you all think? Is there a large market for this?

Hmmm, no replies to this topic. I recently purchased a Virtual PBX system from my Toll-Free telephone number provider, Telcan.net. I must say, I am pleasantly surprised at the abilities of the system. Although it does not currently have support for submenus, that is a feature that they are working on now, I hear. Their system, which costs only $9.95/monthly for the basic plan, is all I need. I'm sure that many other businesses would happily shell out an amount of money similar to that. It's definitely a great system and I think there is a growing market for it.

I will definitely look into this option. I like the branding it enables with phone numbers that are easy to remember!
