What do you think of running two companies but with the same resources and such.. what I mean is you would run company 1 and company 2 yourself, with the same staff, just as a possible way to generate more income.. do you think it would work? Have you ever tried it? Why or why not?

Hi Gordy,

We thought of opening a second company - but trying to approach it from a different angle..

Not sure if running 2 identical would work - need to build your company name up and drive traffic and sales...

working under 2 different names may end of taking longer to accomplish your goals (im not certain of this, Im just guessing)...

Let me know if it works out though...we've been thinking about this for quite some time now...

Well I don't plan on doing this, I was just curious to see what other people might have though.

Id much rather run everything under ONE company instead of two. If they are simiar at least. This way you get your company name out... no matter what the service/product is... its just easier to advertise one name and not two. That's just what I would do.

If you think about it. Domain name $10, Template $50, Logo + banners + fliers + advertising $300 + business certificate $150 its a $510 investment for 2 companies.... thats 4 months payment on a server.

2 Companies was hard for me, I developed my one site, WebMaxHosting, and then I opened Moon-Hosting, I thought it had more appeal. It took a little while for the change to take place, but in the long Run, it was well worth it. Now, I don't operate webmaxhosting, but I use the domain for my e-mail, secure storage. ect, I forward all mail to that domain, not one piece of spam!!

running two companies....well you could approach it from a services angle.

1 company only does linux hosting whilst the other specialises in windows

or perhaps 1 company does the hosting and the other company does the support
