I just wanted to get some opinions and thoughts on this.

What do you think what you see a guide with quick and easy steps on starting a hosting business?

Do you think they are helpful or do they just encourage more and more people to enter the hosting world without really knowing what it involves and thinking they can make a lot of money without doing any work?

I think the latter, too many people read these guides and setup a company the next day..

Unfortunately you are correct that people read such tutorials and rush headlong into the business without really thinking. I am currently looking into setting up myself, I haven't really got that far into my research yet, other things happening around me have made me have to change my focus on other things for the time being.

Tutorials on starting a business shouldnt be "Business plans". They should simply be reminders in the back of the owners head. I too see too many people using this ideas as their actual business plans thinking they will buy a template, get cpanel and modern bill then become a thousand dollar+ company overnight. People need to learn the hard way I guess.... maybe we shoudl write a book on how to start a business and all that jazz to sell on amazon for $39.95....could make some easy cash from all then "get rich fast" people out there.

it's not their fault they don't see the world the way we see. some people grow up and see much of the real world, others live in their fantasy world. i strongly believe this is a genetic thing.
