When I was in the Marine Corps, we used to drill/march in formation and one of the drill commands was to ‘Mark Time, March,” which essentially meant to march in place (going nowhere). My favorite was, “Double Time, March,” as I used to love to run (not so much anymore).

Complacency

Is your business marking time or running full steam ahead? Complacency is your biggest enemy. Are you doing what’s expected from your clients, or are you exceeding their expectations? Do you have plan to get from point A (satisfied customers) to point B (raving fans)?

Is being professional enough?

The web hosting industry is highly competitive, and much like any other industry, successful providers need to go that extra one percent in each and every contact they have with their clients. Being professional is a must, but clients expect professionalism from each of their vendors. To set yourself apart from the competition in this and any other industry, you must be rememberable, for the right reasons.

Embracing Change

I’m sure you’ve heard of the leading (and bleeding) edge of technology. Firms that resist embracing change, especially technological change, find the road ahead that much harder. Why put your business behind the eight ball? I can guarantee you that your competition has cleared the pool table embracing change.
