I'd do the same or if I'm feeling really nice that day, I report it to their ISP.

Though it is really impossible to stop the spamming in the whole world wide web, but the best thing you do is just to block the IP. Reporting them might help but it wouldn't do as much anyway.

I do the same thing. And if it keeps continuing, I take it further.

You can simply ban the IP or IP range from the control panel.

If you run a UTM firewall with some type of filtering it can help a lot. We run a Sonicwall just for email filtering and it does wonders.

Hello,

Unluckily, little among us are strangers to spam email. Actually, we have become so familiar to receiving it, the majority of us are on autopilot when it comes to how to switch spam - we delete it. Although this may show to be the simplest - and surely the most suitable - solution, it will really cost you a lot more time down the road.

One of the fist steps to take when selling with spam is to report it to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Mail a copy of the spontaneous email to spam@uce.gov. Your email will then be stored in a database, so that the suitable measures can be taken to deal with those at the heart of the offense.
