Any generic document you find will probably be geared towards U.S law, and possibly focused on state law at that. I highly suspect, without actually knowing in detail, that the legal systems are different in both the U.S and South Africa.
For example, the U.S, U.K and Australia are utilise the Common Law system, while Europe utilises Civil Law. South Africa, from what I can gather uses a Bijuridical system which is a mixture of Common and Civil Law. There can be vast differences in these legal systems.
