Considering that they have listed yahoo as the number one host that takes away from all validity of the site. Anyone who has a brain would know that yahoo is not even close to being #1 as a hosting provider. This site is bias and I would not personally reccommend it to anyone, with a brain that is.

I don't quite know how accurate something like that is in all honesty. It's a good check though and I'm sure that it provides for a general idea of where these hosts stand.

I would agree. Most of the hosts are private companies. Exact client information is somewhat confidential in most cases, so I doubt there is a definite source for that kind of data.

The stats posted on that site are basically the same stats posted as webhosting.info. They can rank hosts globally by the number of domain names hosted. Of course this doesn't mean they are the best host - just the largest.

smartbuy.net is a nameserver - i'm not sure what the actual company is, but it must host quite a few domains.

Ev1servers.net for instance - They host thousands of servers with thousands of domains on them - however, they are not counted in this tally.

In terms of numbers i think one and one win.

But i hear they provide a terrible service, never used them though.

Well, combine their two top 4 listings and that would put them in first, one would assume.

1 YAHOO.COM
2 1AND1.COM
3 SMARTBUY.NET
4 1UND1.DE

2 and 4 are the same company.
