Database of Federally Incorporated Companies?

Is there a web site in the United States that is equivalent to Canada's "Database of Federally Incorporated Companies" http://strategis.ic.gc.ca/cgi-bin/sc...rch.cgi?lang=e

It lists all companies that are registered..

Im sure their is one out there, but it might be hard to find. I tryed looking for you. No luck.

I could be wrong, but I would imagine this would be done on a per-state basis rather than country-wide. For anyone else who may search this thread in the future, you can perform a lookup on any UK company via Companies House at: http://www.companieshouse.gov.uk

You are correct. Incorporation (at least in the US) is a state thing. Not every state has an online database, but if they do you can look up the company if you know the state they are incorporated in. Usually linked from the secretary of state's website. e.g. http://soswy.state.wy.us/Corp_Search_Main.asp
