I have tried all of the following and they all wre horrible in one aspect or another
  • HostGator
  • AceNet
  • Jet WebHost (Server)
  • and a couple others dont remeber now
  • Web.Com
  • IPower
  • and one or to dont remeber now

Bad hosting companies is why I went into business for myself so guess should thank them but I found that the "bigger" companies are usually the worst - bad support, screwed up accoun ts, etc

The best experince have had with domains is defintely Directi - hands down

I had some other bad experiences over the years but Ill not mention them or cant remember who were.
Reputation = everything when comes to a service-based product of any sort so do your research before quick to order

My worst hosting experience happened about 2 months ago. I had wanted to simply wanted a place where I could code and run a business website. So I purchased a reseller account from a newer company at a cheap price. I had been with them for about a month when the server appeared to be going down quite often. After an initial support ticket and complaint everything seemed to go back to normal after a few days... about a month later, the server died again, their business website was also down, I sent an email (a few actually) and no response. I ended up losing a lot of data that I had not personally backed up, the business website is still down... and the owner is not responding at all. It really makes me upset.

I lost alot of data on one experience, months of work. Partly my fault for not keeping my backups up to date but oh well.
Is why I make customer service my top priority in my own business, after dealing with so many horrible places I intend to never be considered the same.

John that should have been different but hey we all have our sad stories and yes while it is hard at the time, we all have to learn from the experience as well. Remember that no one is perfect and mistakes do happen. People learn from those mistakes and if they do then it is a good learnin experience.
