I'm curious since I was looking into this subject. Has anyone provided or gotten hosting for Shoutcast streaming? I've actually used Shoutcast and have some DJ software for it, but I've never found a reliable host.

My friend is happy with the host he got shoutcast hosting from. He told me that its good. If you need any information, let me know, i'll ask him abt place he is hosted at and the servicing company.

Problem with Shoutcast is that it drains bandwidth like there is no tommorow. Have you tried some alternatives?

We (Galaxy Solutions LLC) recently acquired a shoutcast hosting company. Yes, Shoutcast does use a decent amount of bandwidth. That is why you should expect to pay more as you need more bandwidth.

Check out someone like Voxel or Gnax for that. They both have a good network and you can get unmetered through them.
