T3Hosting didnt do me any favours on a reseller plan!

Tell us more about this, I am sure the community can benefit from your review. It is a terrible thing when hosting providers do not live up to what they promise! Especially when you can find a new hosting provider on every street corner! :p

I used hostnexus and found them quite responsive.

My worst experience had to be with McHost. I don't think you need an explaination there.

They were brilliant when i bought from them, but things have gone down hill!

Ipower is by far the worst company I have done business with. Stay away from them at all costs.
They would "forget to renew my customers domain names, websites would be down for hours at a time, & customer service is a joke.

Yeah that's a sure sign of a host with a lack of business sense and ethics. I mean, you by no means need to have an MBA to start a web hosting company but come on - that is just ridiculous!

Hmmm I thought that company was highly ranked.

I can not stand sites with auto-playing sound. It disturbs me!

I had a rough entry into hosting with a guy that didn't have a clue. I think he was just making it up as he went along. He was an IT guy and not really a host. Perhaps that was where his big mistake was.

Besides all the limitations and issues, at the end, he told me he was going to stop colocating his box and bring it home and get a big line for them. That was the big red flag to get out quick. Another negative was he was using BulkRegistrar to register domains for me, at better rates. I still have two domains that are technically under his account that were registered for 5 years back then. I am still trying to get one of them to my enom account, but it's a .org and it's taken me months to get him to provide the code to transfer it.

I was fortunate enough to have a friend tell me about a great host that put Customer Service / Support at the top of his list. They've moved on like me, but it was a great step forward into where I am today and going in the future.

So, a bad experience ended up being a good one in the end.
