Does anyone know what the fastest growing web hosting companies are in terms of customer sign-ups per day, week or month?

I know about 160-170 people are presently signing up for iPowerWeb every day.

Best,

Mark, that is a good graph, only the numbers are more extreme because they are influenced by FeaturePrice going out of business. Thousands of customers left their company in search of another host and those numbers are added to the graph. I think....

oneandone.co.uk are the fastest growing web hosts currently (as confirmed by UK based internet statistics co, Netcraft), who handle a minimum of 300 client orders a day.

I didnt realize how large some of the hosting companies are out there. I mean the Netcraft thing shows that the one company has over 2 million sites? Unreal. Wow. If only!

Is it just me, or am I not alone on this one....

looked at oneandone.co.uk (the fastest growing host) hmm..

it leaves me wondering just how long they will stay in business...
I mean a buck 99 a month only goes so far. Sure they are growing fast right now, but ae they going to make it past the breaking point when their funding runs out? All those sites surely need support techs, and servers and all that stuff costs money the last time I checked.

I have seen a lot of companies grow fast like that just to end up in the CI catagory... or worse, and just vanish one day.

I see Host Europe running good and strong in the list too, as the second place growth of webhosts on the list, and their plans cost 5 times more.. at 9.95 they will last much longer and be more stable in my eyes.

Just my 2cents.

Hi
Some of their services cost them to host you, however they are part of a much larger company (im led to believe they also operate a TV station as well as about 3 data centres), which keeps them head above water.
I believe the prices are short term anyway - they are just trying to drive uk compeditors out of business and then do a price hike.

IPowerWeb has the most annoying support staff. I have no idea how they get so many customers, due to there pricing has been the same forever now. But whatever floats web masters boats.

I would also say IPowerWeb is the fastest growing hosting company out there as they have anywhere from 150 - 300+ new sign-ups everyday. The issue that would concern me would be the support complaints I have been seen posted everywhere.

iPowerWeb has lots of staff running the support system 24 hours a day, so I think they aren't too bad.

Hello,
Another host that is growing is p4host I believe. Not sure on that though and dot5hosting is losing the most I believe at this time.
Thanks

I would be intrested to see what is the company with the best sustained growth rather than the fastest. i.e. something that has a viable business model

Depends.
ev1 deal mostly with dedicated servers and not so much with shared hosting and domains - which is a very speicalized market, whereas some of the other "big boys" of hosting deal with most aspects of hosting and most markets.

I think ev1 get around 5000 new customers for rackshack/ ev1servers.
each month which is *roughly* 160 a day.

I still dont think oneandone have been toppled from being worlds largest / fastest growing host yet though, and they have just opened their doors to America now with free hosting, so im sure they are taking on shed loads of new clients atm, albeit making a loss.
