Shared vs Shell, who wins?

What do you think the better hosting is? Shared or Shell? I would like to hear from people on the topic

I think most people need a control panel and shell is a security risk.

a shell account would be good for testing out scripting and for people who actually know what they are doing.... but then you risk a breach in security. Hosting with a panel is more secure and easier for those point a click users out there.

Shell I would never do.. Security breach's are scarry..

Yep I would have to go with control panel because of security mainly but also ease of use for users, most people would only be able to use a control panel for shared, some still have problems with that.
Shell is only for experts really, or people who are only using it for their purposes

I agreee with that, if you don't need it, don't use it.
