Which statistics software do you prefer to use? Which is the most useful and gives you the best information?

I have used LiveStats, WebTrakker, AWStats and Urchin.

LiveStats... Cost around $1250 to analyse 500 log sources. Gives full comprehensive stats on the site and quite a good amount of detail.

WebTrakker... I cannot remember the cost as it was custom for my company. This was a custom built stats package that I used to use 4 years ago. A company I worked with custom built this for my hosting company. It was excellent but only ran on an Access backend database and after a while it halted. A new version came out which had SQL support and this was far better.

AWStats... Free. Very simple but I find it the easiest to use because of the simplicity of the data. You get what you need to see in one big page and can help you see the general picture of whats happening. No date ranges though but overall I like it.

Urchin... Not sure the cost. Comes free with the Ded server. Not bad... but seems to get inacurate stats and confuses spiders for visitors etc...

What stats software are you familier with and please give us a comparison.

I've used both AWStats and Urchin.

Personally I prefer AWStats as like matthew said, it's simple and gives me good, clear graphical representation of my site action.

I think more comprehensive stats sometimes would be good, but for basic checks, AWStats every time for me

You can use AWStats and also webalizer, both are good combination... most of the things you needed are there...

http://awstats.sourceforge.net/

Thanks!
