Hi and this question is to all the webhosters here at the hosting discussion community forum. I would like to know out of which CPU manufacturer do you all use and prefer between AMD and INTEL.

For each CPU vendor picked can you all kindly give your reason why

We use AMD (Dual Opteron's) for our VPS plans but prefer, Intel for our dedicated servers.

We vary between AMD and intel but we tend to go for Intel based chips.

For servers running Virtual Enviroments we use Quad Core Xeons.

We also have a few Pentium 4 processors running as well.

I have some older versions of Xenon's Dual processors working for me currently , although they are outdated but they provide great performance .

We are using Xeon's for everything, and I must admit it's working wonderfull .

I have voted for Intel Xeon. We use it.

We have a mix.. a few Quad Cores, Quad Xeon's, Dual Opertons. Depending on the hosting environment. The new Xeon's are quite nice
