I think if you want to practise and you are newbie in that the best - sign up for free web hosting and stop worry about that.

I disagree. Now is a good time to evaluate a host. A newbie should be able to discuss service and get some pointers from a good host. Certainly, they won't install scripts the without a fee, but giving some guidance and a little help is not too much to expect. If they won't, what makes you think they'll be any help when there is a problem that the average user couldn't be expected to resolve on their own.

It takes only a minute to respond to a basic query and gives the customer satisfaction.

Free hosts have a place in the business, but unless you're planning to host a very basic personal site, commercial hosting should be considered.

Linux would be better for shared hosting. Even though windows is more uiser friendly as an OS, you are never going to have access to the GUI. With better control panel and easy scripts available, Linux is cheap, reliable and easier to manage.

Your email address on file is @thewebhostshed.com. Shilling is bad. Self promotion in this area is not allowed. Any way you look at it, what you just did is shady.

As for the uptime thing (assuming you were indeed a customer), the host has been around for 10 days now. That's not enough time to really judge anything.
