I have come across quite a few webhosting directories, but they seem focused on the pay hosts out there.

What I am looking for however, is a hosting directory devoted to FREE web hosts. There was this one place meeting this description that I found some years ago, but I do not think it's in existence anymore.

I can't remember the name of the directory but several years ago I found a great site that reviewed free hosts. There are a lot more free hosts than I realized and I found some good ones through the directory. Unfortunately, that was several years and two computers ago so I no longer have the link. I found it originally by searching which is why I recommend trying to google for "free web hosting +review" which is what usually works well for me. Good luck.

While I still have a lot more left for me to read through, I can already tell that these should be pretty helpful.

Umm...am I missing something here? That is the link to a profile of a pay host when I was looking for a review directory of free hosts.

I am not sure if I am just missing something or not, but I cannot think of how that is relevant or helpful to this topic.

ldcdc posted the type of thing that I was looking for, and those links helped a lot by the way

Freewebspace is a good forum but it is still not a directory. Most directories offer paid reviews and listings. The same with free hosting.
