I have seen Lunar Pages around for a long time now, and they have garnered a lot of positive reviews and have good prices for their packages.

Unfortunately, I know better than to judge a host on just what I have seen.

For all I know, those review hosts could have even been bribed!

Because of this, I am coming to you all to see if anyone here has had dealings with Lunar Pages in the past.

Anyone?

Funny you should say some of the things in your post. Starting from your current view point, and reading this blog page should put a smile on your face.

Oh wow, sounds like they are even worst than Dreamhost...at least when it comes to censorship and the like.

For all the flack Dreamhost gets, at least they put up with all the negative feedback they recieved. You have to respect them for that much, even if you hate them for everything else.

At the very least Lunarpages seems awfully opportunistic, and the censorship just makes it look that much worse.

I have read many positive feedbacks about Lunarpages.com services. Think they are worth to be tried.

While they may be a decent host otherwise, it's pretty shady to do what LunarPages did on the whole Dreamhost situation.

They could have just kept their mouth shut like they should have. Taking jabs at competitors is widely expected, but not in such a tasteless manner as Lunarpages did. Not to mention, there was the whole censorship deal when people turned against them over the comments.

Personally, I was able to sort of understand that, as it was Dreamhost who first made fun and offered a coupon to people leaving Lunarpages. The thing that really bothered me was the fake/employee reviews thing.

i read the blog post you linked, very interesting reading, and while i am sure all the hosts do this sort of thing to a certain extent, I don't think that should reflect on the quality of the hosting nor sway your decision. I think all of the big oversellers have a similar level of service and SLA.

I have always been impressed with the quality and speed of the responses i get frmo lunarpages support.

I'm not positive but I believe LunarPages is one of the few hosts that do not use SUPHP.

I'm sure they have their reasons but regarding security, suphp has MANY advantages over the standard php setup.

LunarPages has been pushing a cleaner website design and advertisments and I like reading their blog posts
