How do you choose?

I figure this would be good for newbies starting out and fully confused how to pick whats best. Are you always going for the plans that work for you, willing to try new places or what?

I have always stayed with Gnax for loyalty and they have always treated me good.

A business should always be looking to upgrade it's product line both in price and technology. Brand name or in this case data center loyalty in moderation is a positive, however, one should always be on the look out for better upstream providers.

I must say that ThePlanet is a rather stable DC and it has high uptime rates.

I use Softlayer, which is actually having the datacenter at Informat, Dallas. More than happy with their services.

CaroNet DC is also a stable one, which offer powerful and rather cheap dedicated servers.

I do tend to agree here, but for me its a little different. I have ran test servers at other DC's, even with The Planet, and none did what Gnax does for me.

Can you please tell me the advantages of Gnax?

I don't know if its a specific advantage, but the two top things that work for myself and my clients are that they have awesome international routes & their bandwith rocks for what we need.

Are you looking as a hosting provider stand point or an individual?

Sorry to just jump in here, but where is the Gnax data center located? If they are as good as you mention, I may be interested. We currently have dedicated servers in 8 countries but I have a need for another US data center if they are as good as you say.

Thats another good thing for me, Im in the SE and if I would ever need to drive to any of my servers its within a few hours time span for me so thats not too bad (minus the price of gas lately that is).
