Well check out prices, features, where is their server located, testimonials if any. Find about it 1st then make your move.

Hi

the first thing is you need to check on which platform you like to design the site windows Linux or java...i suggest is Linux is the fastest and the best..then looking for SSL for your site you need to decide..then..check the hosting panel reviews then check for the bandwidth and space required for your site...

For starters I am still looking for more than one that answers their email inquiries.

I actually just hate the idea of my stuff somewhere else on the planet that I cannot walk up to and touch.

So I am still researching out my own direct connection to the grid with one of my own computers.

Anyone else wrestling with these feelings?

Reaching out and physically touching? NO. But what's important is what makes you comfortable with your provider.

I hate to say it, cus' it sounds like my misses talking...

How about some communication?

So far all the sales departments I've been contacting seem a trifle bit too lame to bring much comfort.

No matter I will persist and keep sending out more inquires but at the same time I will practice working with server software on my second computer.

To be honest you only need uptime really and a proper server. If you do you wouldn't really need support. Everything else is a bonus the question is do you want to pay for that bonus?

Hosting and support go hand-to-hand. If you don't have good support you business will fail. if you don't have the knowledge to run a business you shouldn't. Its that simple. Its very easy to a web hosting company, its hard to maintain it. Especialy if your a 1man or 2man company.

Good support is my number one requirement, whatever your host, when your not having problems everything is great, but I want to know if something goes wrong I will be in safe hands, cheapest isn't always best
