Here is my question to you:
1. What is difference between free and paid hosting?
2. Are those companies known well and are they reliable?

Thank you and hope to hear some of your reviews.
I think the choice should depend on the kind of the web site you have. If you have business web hosting site you need to think about paid web hosting only.

A hosting on which you can not rely at all, where you do not get support about your issue and where you have to add provider's banner on your web site is called free hosting.

In paid hosting, you get a number of free features by just paying a little amount. You get support for your issue in it which is a big handy for your business sites.

Free web hosting option is good for students to test their web applications on the server side, but for business website always prefer paid hosting. And those people who are using free hosting services for business website, need to check monthly prices of shared hosting plans, which are almost cheaper than our daily expenses......

You get what you pay for, and in the case of free hosting, you get crappy service and low reliability. How on earth can someone provide completely free hosting without there being a big catch. It simply doesn't work that way.

with my point of view free website hosting service is always beneficial to the people who are new to internet and plans to get well-known about creating sites and functionality of web servers. The paid web hosting companies are best the professional website owners who need huge web space to upload their websites and who expect a certain amount of website visitors which is not available on free hosting accounts.thats the huge difference

I think you should choose paid hosting. Paid hosting is much more reliable and more faster than free hosting.

However there are so many cheap hosting that is almost for free, and then the customer comes complaining :/ when you really got what you paid for.

IMO, the main difference between free and paid hosting is like car parking. If you park it anywhere to save some bucks on parking zones, then it's unpredictable to assume what will happen next to your car. On the other hand paid parking zones offer security. So now it's totally up to you what you want to choose.

I don't agree with the car parking analogy.

Obviously depends on location, but public parking in Canada is a safe enterprise, with paid parking not offering much more security than public parking.

Paid hosting companies are not immune from going belly up.

Artashes you already clear the picture by giving example of public parking in Canada. Location matters, absolutely right!! And I think that's the reason we cannot say that all the free web hosts are unreliable, few of them may be good one.

I agree with the tone of what's being said already.

If you are learning web development, by all means use free hosting (back up your data locally as it probably is being backed up at the host).

If you are trying to promote a brand, give the free hosting a miss. If they do push ads, they will probably show rivals ads on your page.

Also you will want a good search engine rating, which will amoungst other things require you site to be up and responsive (quick) each time a search engine decides to scrape your site.

I've migrated a couple of customers from justhost, who were dazzled by their "Unlimited Everything" deals, they were not so dazzled by their speed, but reliability is, appearantly, very good.

You do not need "Unlimited Bandwidth", it cannot be acheived through a "limited" bandwidth network card on a server and you will not have unlimited visitors.
You do not need "Unlimited Space" as your site will be of finite size.
Companies who offer these things are notoriously unreliable as how do you plan capacity of the machines?? You can't!! So they can't really plan your user experience.

Find a good reliable host, maybe looking through a site like this. Buy a hosting plan and when you outgrow it, upgrade it, cause hopefully by then you will be able to afford to.

Free hosting allows you to host your website but with limited features. On the other hand, paid hosting sites give you a lot more features to customize your website. ********** provides paid hosting at very low rates.

paid hosting -> Normally done by somebody who has a clue and has money to keep the business afloat.

free hosting-> Normally run off a reseller account or master reseller account on oversold hosting.
